Pratt & Whitney acquires AIIR Innovations
Transition Corporate Finance advised the shareholders of Dutch aerospace technology company AIIR Innovations on its sale to Pratt & Whitney.

Transition Corporate Finance has acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the shareholders of Netherlands-based AIIR Innovations on the company’s sale to Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business.
AIIR is a pioneer in artificial intelligence-powered software for modern borescope inspections. Its technology supports the inspection of aircraft engines by helping maintenance teams identify issues more quickly and consistently. The acquisition will enable Pratt & Whitney to strengthen its digital maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities, with the potential to accelerate inspection processes, improve accuracy and reduce turnaround times for aviation customers worldwide.
Pratt & Whitney is a global leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. As part of US-listed RTX, it operates within a worldwide aviation and defence group with the scale to extend AIIR’s technology across a broad international service network.
The transaction highlights the growing role of AI in critical industrial workflows. In aviation maintenance, the combination of specialist software and established engineering capability can improve fleet efficiency, support earlier detection of issues and reduce operational disruption.
Willem op de Hoek, Partner at Transition Corporate Finance, described the deal as an ideal route for an innovative technology scale-up to extend its reach through a global aerospace group. The transaction connects Dutch software innovation with US industrial scale and provides AIIR with a strong platform for international growth.
