The transaction

Founded in 1989 and based in Solihull, FLAGS Software develops production-critical quality-management and production-control software for complex manufacturers. Its systems support quality control, production efficiency and traceability across automotive, aerospace, rail and marine markets, with customers including JLR, Bentley, Aston Martin, Tata Motors and Harley-Davidson.

Headpoint Advisors advised the shareholders on the sale to US-headquartered Recur Software, a long-term investor in industry-specific software businesses. The acquisition gives FLAGS a partner focused on product development, operational improvement and sustainable growth, while preserving the specialist knowledge and customer relationships built over more than three decades. The consideration was not disclosed.
